June Rifkin is a New York-based writer and the author of numerous books and plays, including the popular The Everything Baby Name Book. She is also the co-author of The Complete Book of Astrology (with Ada Aubin), Signature For Success: How Handwriting Can Influence Your Career, Your Relationships, and Your Life (with Arlyn Imberman), and the forthcoming The One World Tarot (with Lena Rodriguez and Seanna Rose). In addition, June has served as a developmental editor or ghostwriter for other published works.

 

Her play Separation Anxiety premiered at the Brimmer Street Theatre in Boston and is published by Next Stage Press. In addition, a monologue from the play is featured in One on One: The Best Women's Monologues of the 21st Century.

Before becoming a published author, June worked in cable TV marketing and promotion and was the recipient of a Cable ACE/Emmy Award, among other industry merits. During her career, June served as a copywriter for many award-winning multimedia campaigns for cable networks like Food Network, Bravo, NBC Networks, HBO, A&E, AMC, and global companies, including Hasbro, Kraft Foods, Sony, eBay, and Dunkin' Donuts. 

 

After receiving her Master's Degree in Writing and Publishing from Emerson College in Boston, June entered the publishing industry as a literary agent at FinePrint Literary Management, specializing in nonfiction books. Her notable clients included The Friars Club, TV legend Soupy Sales, "I Love Lucy" head writer Madelyn Pugh Davis, and Gerard Alessandrini, creator of "Forbidden Broadway." She also served on panels or led workshops at NYU's Summer Publishing Institute, Writer's Digest, BookExpo America, ASJA, Pennwriters, and New York Writers Workshop. 

 

In addition to writing, June helps other aspiring writers hone their craft and build impressive author platforms, though her company, Get There Media. She advises and assists in developing book proposals and manuscripts, and is often recruited by authors, publishers, and literary agents to serve as an editor, project manager, or coauthor. Her clients hail a wide range of fields such as health, psychology, business, education, parenting, mind/body/spirit, and culinary arts. With June's guidance, authors have completed polished and marketable book proposals and manuscripts, secured literary representation, and landed lucrative publishing deals.
